WHAT IS A DRY OIL SPRAY?
Seems like a bit of a contradiction? Well, at least I thought so. Surely any oil, including, Avon Skin So Soft Dry Oil Spray would leave your skin at least a bit greasy to the touch?
Some oils clearly do e.g. the ones you use to massage the skin leave a layer of oil on top of the skin to enable you to massage it easily without causing friction. However, dry oil is absorbed by your skin, moisturising it immediately. There is none of the greasiness you would expect with dry oil sprays.
What is all the fuss about Avon Skin So Soft?
Is it a new spray?
Actually, the spray has been about since the 1960’s. It was introduced as part of the ‘Skin so Soft’ range of bath oils. There are 2 types. The pink is a nourishing argan oil dry oil spray and the green/blue bottle, called original, contains Jojoba oil. It is this one, the original, that has been flying out.
Why is it popular?
Avon Skin So Soft, Original Dry Oil Spray, is a fantastic non-greasy moisturiser. Customers have referred to not just this and the gorgeous scent it has, but also the fact that something about the scent from the original, green bottle, seemed to be repelling mosquitos and other flies.
Avon Skin So Soft is a real hit with holidaymakers, the SAS, the Scottish Marines have been said to use it (see here) sportsmen/women and some, including my Aunt, have even bought it to help prevent their horses from getting bitten. Take a look at these customer reviews.
The hot summer this year with a surge in flies, plus the recent mention by Dr Hilary on the ‘Lorraine’ show only served to see this product, that was already selling at 5 every minute, sell at record levels.
